Big Rugby Win at WOU!

 Hello Reader,

For this Week of Adventures, I was invited to the Western Oregon University (WOU) campus to watch and take some great pictures of the Wolves' Outstanding Rugby Team. To spoil the story a little bit, WE WON! The Wolves were able to run away with an outstanding victory of 81 to 12 over Central Oregon's Rugby team. As I sat on the uncomfortable, metal, stadium benches of the campus rugby recreation space, I was able to snap some incredible pictures of the team in action.

Here are those shots:

Before the game began, the Wolves needed to huddle up and talk strategy for the big game about to unfold. The perfect midday sunlight allowed for all the faces of the players to be illuminated as they stood and listened to their coaches tactics.

As Central Oregon's team player stood with the ball, toes still touching the line on the side, they lob the ball up to their team mates. They rush to stack on top of each other to reach as high as they can go. This led to a few yards going to Central Oregon, only for it to return to WOU in the last fifteen minutes of the first quarter.

While making a fast dash and an impressive spin maneuver to get past two Central Oregon players, this WOU player made it close to 40-50 yards off of this one play, alone. With nearly twenty minutes left in the match, the wolves never let up on Central Oregon in pressure.

After making a call that one Central Oregon player didn't entirely agree with, the line judge and #14 had a conversation about the play. The two chatted for about a minute or two on the sideline before the next play began by WOU and #14 was drawn away for the remaining ten minutes of the match.

This has now concluded my blog post for the Third Week of this Photojournalism Class. I had so much fun visiting the Western Oregon University Campus this weekend. I cant wait to go back and see the Wolves win once again!

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope that you go like and follow my Instagram page (@redphotohall2). I'll be posting more action packed pictures there after this blog post is concluded.
